Was it Colonel Mustard in the study with a wrench?
Based on the classic board game, Clue is a campy and clever murder mystery that will keep you guessing until the end. The cast is fantastically wonderful as they bring to life the characters of Ms. Peacock, Mrs. White, Professor Plum, Mr. Green, Colonel Mustard and Miss Scarlet. Tim Curry as Wadsworth is especially hysterical, witty, and utterly charming.
The basic plot is that six guests are invited by a mysterious host to attend a dinner party at Hill House. After all the guests have arrived and been seated by Wadsworth the butler, it is revealed that their host, Mr. Boddy, has been blackmailing each one of them! Wadsworth informs the guests that the police have been called to arrest Mr. Boddy for his blackmail crimes, and that they will arrive in 45 minutes. Until then all exits from the house have been locked. Mr. Boddy then hands each guest a murder weapon and encourages them to kill Wadsworth before the police arrive so that none of their secrets are revealed. Mr. Boddy turns off the lights, and when the lights go back on it is he and not Wadsworth lying flat on the floor. The countdown commences to solve the murder before the police arrive.
There are red herrings galore in this murder mystery, and with three alternate endings there is no way to guess what truly happened.
A Clue: No.
